A few facts about the Valley of the Sun

  • 75% of the world's leaders will attend university in the US - ministry among these students is vital

  • Arizona State University has more international students than any other public university in the United States

  • This is a primary resettlement region for refugees being legally admitted to the US as well as those illegally crossing the Southern border

  • There continues to be a population explosion in the Phoenix area, driven by international and domestic businesses relocating or expanding due to the favorable environment

Please Pray

  • We are already interacting with some high capacity international leaders - pray for continued favor with them and that they fully take hold of the work God is calling them to around the world.

  • Transitioning internationally is always a challenge - pray for our family as we continue to work through some of the emotional realities of this big change.

  • Pray for more solid connections in the refugee community and that we have the opportunity to disciple those who will in turn make disciples within their people group.

The purpose of our ministry is to glorify God through catalyzing the formation, growth and multiplication of disciples, leaders and churches around the world.

Brian and Trish, along with their daughters Morgan, Emma, Reagan and son-in-law Yoram serve as Disciple Making Catalysts among international people in the metropolitan Phoenix area, a region of 5 million people. After 8 years of similar ministry in Berlin, Germany, they are spending a season working stateside until God opens the door to return overseas. Their work is primarily focused on refugees and international students, and they are also building partnerships with other organizations that have a deep commitment to the multiplication of disciples, leaders and churches.

The Ministry

Some of the ministry the Miller family is engaging in during this season includes:

  • Catalyzing increased prayer, including facilitating small groups that specifically help people grow in a variety of prayer disciplines.

  • Raising up and mentoring young Christian leaders from various cultural backgrounds who are in Phoenix for a limited time. Our desire is to see them fully prepared to return to their home country and multiply Kingdom work. We will continue supporting them in those assignments God gives them.

  • Finding Persons and Households of Peace to disciple in the ways of Jesus, especially among the refugee population. We are engaging in simple compassion oriented projects to build relationships in these communities.

  • Building bridges of cooperation among churches and other organizations who are participating in the mission of reaching international people.

  • Ultimately, we will be building a "hub" in this region that empowers teams of workers to effectively engage in the harvest both here and abroad.

Partnership Opportunity

It takes the partnership of many people to send workers in today’s economy. We are so grateful for the sacrifice of the individuals and churches who support us prayerfully and financially. Jesus has called ALL believers to be part of His Great Commission to take the Gospel to all the peoples of the earth. The “going” and the “sending” are of equal importance to the task! Would you be part of our sending team with your prayer and financial support?

Novo is a band of creative missionaries sent to multiply movements of the gospel and mobilize the church for mission around the world.
